P2 Consulting was started by a group of award winning consultants who recognised the opportunity to build a global consultancy firm that had clients’ needs at its heart. P2 Adaptive Delivery® Case Studies

P2 Adaptive Delivery® has been deployed at a number of clients, who have reported an improved return on investment (ROI) for their projects, a reduction of the total cost of delivery, improved delivery performance and less disruption to business as usual (BAU).

P2 Adaptive Delivery® has also helped to speed up the release cycle of new products and services and improved stakeholder confidence in projects being delivered on time and to budget.



Delivering for a leading UK retailer

Context: One of the UK’s leading retailers merged with its rival Shop Direct. We were engaged to deliver the post-merger integration programme. A portion of our fees was linked not just to delivery of the programme, but to the delivery of the associated benefits.

Adaptive Service: We provided a Business and IT Programme Management team deploying our P2 Adaptive Delivery framework to mobilise, design and manage the end to end programme. working alongside the client’s in-house resources. We drove the rapid and iterative delivery of benefits throughout and created a change capability for the organisation as we left.

Outcome: We structured the Programme to realize early benefits making the programme cash-flow positive within 1 month! The programme finally delivered over £200m in annualised benefits by the end of integration.

Delivering for a £845m large-scale transformation programme

Context – We are supporting the £845 million, large-scale, complex and extremely high-profile Census Transformation programme with expected benefits to the Government of c£4.7 billion

Adaptive Services – Established ‘Proof-Points’ to plot a course to a new, untested and complex service design and implementation; developed an integrated Roadmap to maintain focus, used Cost and Schedule Quantitative Risk Analyses to support the business case and underpin key decisions and rapidly developed work-arounds to deliver benefits on time

Outcome – more highly valued decisions were made more quickly which maintained momentum in the programme, build greater control and agility into the programme so it is able to learn and adapt quickly to changing circumstances and drive greater predictability into outturn and programme delivery performance

Delivering for a central government department

Context – We are supporting a central government Department to design a transformed business operation post EU Exit

Adaptive Services – We decoupled the Blueprint for this Interim-State model from the wider transformative change. We identified those elements that needed to be addressed to make Day 1 operations a success, we advised on the build of the service management and support functions and the new roles and responsibilities required to de-risk operational delivery

Outcome – focused commitment on true priorities, reduced cost of support to define a stable operation, improved confidence by senior stakeholders who had clarity on key threats to success and robust approach to address them
