Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans for testing efforts
  • Create test estimates and define/build reusable testing assets for large/complex projects
  • Develop and implement test automation frameworks
  • Provide technical leadership and support the creation of complex tests
  • Advise the customer on innovative testing products and solutions
  • Define and administer standard testing architecture methodologies, processes and tools across all engagements
  • Improve quality practices across functional and non-functional testing
  • Delivery of complex test programmes
  • Support the strategic direction of our Continuous Testing & Assurance Practice
  • A strong network and the ability to initiate and maximise new business opportunities

Requirements:

Education and Training
  • A record of continuous professional
  • Ideally degree level, within a technology or business discipline
  • A commitment to continue to develop both personally and professionally
  • Relevant professional qualifications (such as International Software Testing Qualifications Board – BCS ISTQB® – or the equivalent gained through practical experience)
Essential Experience
  • Consultancy experience
  • Financial services, business change and/or digital industries
  • Programme frameworks including waterfall, agile and DevOps
  • Experience across the quality assurance and testing lifecycle, including industry standard techniques and tools
  • Programme test management across functional and non-functional testing
  • Worked within a multi-supplier programme environment
  • A growing specialism in an area aligned to the services of P2
  • Track record in initiating and maximising new business opportunities
Test Architect Experience
  • Ideally 10+ years plus experience as a Test Architect
  • Experience in setting up a test framework from scratch and improving existing frameworks to be more efficient and effective
  • Experience in defining and implementing test processes in the organization across multiple projects
  • Experience of identifying the appropriate techniques, tools and guidelines to implement the required tests and to give guidance on the corresponding resources requirements for the test effort
  • Experience of leading multiple release cycles
  • Must understand technologies such as web servers, application servers, databases (SQL & Oracle)
  • Must have strong understanding of scripting/programming/computer architecture
  • Possess a track record of successful managing highly complex test programmes on schedule, to budget and quality standards
  • Experience of the full software project lifecycle (waterfall, agile, DevOps) and a technical appreciation of IT systems and solutions
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven experience in managing test tools and environments to support test programmes
  • Has delivered test maturity assessments, providing and successfully implementing an improvements plan
  • Experience of building strong and effective relationships with clients
  • Demonstrable business development experince
