Life at P2 Consulting

I recently started as a Consultant Analyst with P2 Consulting, a challenger consultancy which focuses on a number of key change areas including business transformation, project / programme delivery and software assurance. Since joining the P2 Academy, there have been three aspects I have enjoyed most: personal development, challenging assignments, and the company culture.

P2 are committed to developing exceptional talent both as experienced and graduate hires. Within my first two months, I have been given the chance to successfully complete my Prince2 and BCS foundation certificates and I’m now starting the next phase of my CORE development. Furthermore, as part of the Academy I have been partnered with a senior career manager to mentor and guide me until I am ready to progress to a Consultant.

Following my induction and training courses, I was immediately assigned work focused on Brexit. During my work I have had the opportunity to work both as part of a team and independently, working with key stakeholders within and external to our business. For the most part, I work as part of a small team to meet deadlines and hit targets. But as I have built up my knowledge and ability, I have had the opportunity to deliver my own small projects. This speaks to the larger culture at P2, people work collaboratively, but there is also opportunity to work independently and increase your responsibility. Moreover, experienced colleagues are happy to offer guidance, support and act as mentors through my development.

Like the people who work here, P2 has ambition. When I was deciding where I wanted to work, this aspiration drew me here, the drive to challenge the established firms, disrupt the market and continue expanding. I saw it as an opportunity to join a young vibrant firm that is committed to improving its position, and that if I could prove myself, would offer me a chance to develop quickly. That is exactly what I have found.

My first few months at P2 consulting have been exhilarating; a combination of fulfilling work and constant opportunity to improve and expand my knowledge through professional qualifications. I have met incredibly driven and competent people and have had opportunity to develop and grow. I am looking forward to the coming years s I continue on this growth path and help P2 meet its ambitious targets.
